The main theme is FAMILY with accent on Children's Rights
The seventh edition of this Documentary Film Festival for Youths on St.Maarten, Saba, Statia, Curaçao, Bonaire and Aruba lies behind us. And again a growing number of visitors, over 12500. This time KidDocs co-operated with Movies that Matter, an initiative of Amnesty International. The program was extended with film commentaries, KidDocs in Class and workshops Teach the Teachers. For the first time a KidDocs' Minor has taken place on Curaçao for the 4th grade students English of the UNA.

We have seen War Child and were very impressed by the story of this former child soldier Emanuel Jal. Maybe we should do something more about this subject in class. Internet and the website would help...
We think there should be more films shown during the school year to show us what’s going on in different parts of the world. Like what KidDocs showed last year in The Bottom, an open air viewing at night...
